NANCY SPUNGEN
| KING DAVID CEMETERY HEBREW - "Chaya
Lea daughter of Ephraim Aharon" Taken in August 2006 on an unexpected sojourn to the Philadelphia area. Photos of Nancy Spungen's grave in King David Cemetery which will be coinciding with two-part series of drawings to be unveiled in late 2006. Though I have no immediate Jewish heritage, and though my last is a common Jewish name, there were however four Kushner graves within the very same row as Nancy. The plastic flowers and speared Piglet were already present before I had arrived. Visiting Nancy was something I had long wanted to do and fateful in the sense that I was helping my brother's love life by driving him to upper Philadelphia, which happened to be not four miles away from her. Ominous also the fact of visiting her grave can be visibly apparent when my portrayal of her is seen. I parked the car underneath the half-destroyed tree seen below before searching for her and listened to Sid performing at Max's Kansas City while leaving.
